Members of the Czech Society for Mountain Medicine express their deepest condolences to Dr Emmanuel Cauchy’s family, friends and colleagues. Not all knew him personally, however some of us many times heard his excellent lectures and red his interesting and inspiring papers. Many Czech mountaineers know his book “Petit guide medical pour le voyage” which Dr Kristina Hoeschlová has translated in 2011. Thirty-Six Czech medical doctors and mountain rescuers knew him personally from both International Mountain Medicine Course in the Czech Republic organized by Kristina in 2016 and 2017.
„Be in mourning for somebody means to live with him in eternity“.
